appear here and on the page involved (there enclosed in a circle,

INTRODUCTION
.ft P
.sp 1
This procedure establishes the requirements which the 09850-63510 and
09850-66510 PC board assemblies shall meet when tested in accordance with
the procedure set forth in this document and under normal manufacturing
environmental conditions.
.sp 1
Throughout this procedure, the 09850-63510 or 09850-66510 board is mentioned
and referred to as the Unit Under Test (UUT).
.sp 1
Colorado Integrated Circuits Division (CICD) Production Engineering and
Quality Assurance authorizations are required for any change in methods,
tools, procedures, or acceptable limits. Change Authorization shall be
obtained by use of the formal Production Change Procedure (See drawing
A-5957-4368-1).

FAILURE and REPAIR
.ft P
.sp 1
If any UUT fails any portion or portions of this test procedure, the
failure mode(s) are to be noted in the defect tracking system, and the
assembly turned over to a technician for repair. After repairs, the
technician may return the board to any location in the test flow, up to
the location that the failure occured.
.sp 2
.ft B
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
.ft P
.sp 1
ESD Restrictions
.sp 1
Each UUT board is loaded with parts which are sensitive to electostatic
discharge. The board must always be handled in accordance with acceptable
ESD preventive practices.
.sp 1
Never remove or insert a board into a testbed with the power on.
.sp 2
.ft B
PRE-TEST PREPARATIONS
.ft P
.sp 1
Inspect board at this time for obvious mechanical damage or improper
workmanship.
.sp 1
Boards that fail at this point should be considered "3065" failures and should
be rejected for "Mechanical damage", and turned over to the Fix-It department
for repair.

3065A BOARD TEST
.ft P
.sp 1
Perform the board tests on the board using test fixture ET-16426 and the 3065A
Test System.
.sp 1
Follow the directions given by the board test program.
.sp 1
Boards that pass the test are considered as good. Indicate that the board
is good by making a black mark on the edge of each board.
.sp 1
If this board passes the 3065A test, it may be sent to fabstock for delivery
to CICD for further testing. The board flows to fabstock as a -63510
assembly.

Initializing PRISM tester
.sp 1
Before testing 09850-66510 boards on a PRISM board tester, the tester must
be initialized. Perform the following:
.sp 1
.in +.30i
.ti -.15i
* Press [SHIFT][RESET] keys, then type 'sb' to reset the PRISM tester.
The tester will require 3 to 5 minutes to reset.
.br
.ti -.15i
* When the tester has finished reseting, it will give a
'ft CW
COMMAND>\fP prompt.
.br
.ti -.15i
* Press [SHIFT][KEY1] keys to set up the tester for 09850-66510 tests.
.br
.ti -.15i
* When finished, the tester will again give a
'ft CW
COMMAND>\fP prompt.
.br
.ti -.15i
* Make sure that the switch on the power selector box is in the DOWN
position. Power selector is in the lower left bay of the tester.
.in
.sp 2
Running the PRISM test
.sp 1
.in +.30i
.ti -.15i
* Plug the UUT into the FIREFOX test head. Note that this board will not
go in as far as the other boards in FIREFOX.
.br
.ti -.15i
* Plug the MDA board onto the top of the UUT board.
.br
.ti -.15i
* Press key [KEY1]. This starts the test, which takes about 9 minutes.
.br
.ti -.15i
* If the test passes, words to that affect will be printed on the
PRISM test system display, and there will be a
'ft CW
COMMAND>\fP prompt.
Otherwise, consult the next section action to take on failed
boards.
.in
.sp 1
Failures of the PRISM board test
.sp 1
.in +.25i
Normal PRISM test failures
.sp 1
.in +.30i
.ti -.15i
* If the test fails, the PRISM board test system will turn power off to
the UUT, and will ask you to remove the board and enter the board's
serial number.
.br
.ti -.15i
* The serial number to be used is located on the barcode label on the
circuit side of the board.
.br
.ti -.15i
* Once the serial number has been entered, a failure summary will be printed
by the tester.
.br
.ti -.15i
* This failure summary, along with any additional information that was
printed above the report, is kept with the board to help diagnose and
repair the board.
.br
.ti -.15i
* The PRISM board test system does not need to be reset. Simply test
the next 09850-66510 board.
.br
.ti -.15i
* Failed boards should be flowed to a technician or production engineer
for troubleshooting.
.sp 1
.in
Test fails to complete
.sp 1
If the PRISM test system displays an error message, followed by a
message like
'ft CW
RESTART WITH DEBUGGER?(Y/N)\fP, then type the following:
.sp 1
.in +.25i
.ti -.15i
* Press the 'N' key.
.br
.ti -.15i
* Press [SHIFT][DUMP ALPHA] keys to print failure.
.br
.ti -.15i
* Press [KEY4] key to turn off power to the UUT.
.br
.ti -.15i
* When
'ft CW
power supplies off\fP is displayed by PRISM,
remove the UUT board. Then take the board out of the
tester and write the serial number on the printout. Give the printout
with the board to a technician for troubleshooting.
.br
.ti -.15i
* The PRISM test system must be re-initialized before testing another
board. Use the PRISM initialization procedure described above.

If this needs to be repeated more
than once, call a technician for assistance.
.br
.ti -.15i
* If, during the first or second time this procedure is performed, there
