Subject: Plan for Resolving Issues

In Denny's staff last Friday, I came away with part of an assignment
on which I need to report progress next Friday (10/23). Basically, Denny
is concerned that decisions are being delayed and not getting made and
that this will ultimately cause our Lab to fail to meet schedule (in
this meeting he put schedule above everything else). Now that Milestones
and State Variables are in pretty good shape, he wants to drive very
hard to get decisions made in critical areas. (In fact he now wants our
Rev A1 to be "MR Quality" in order to force this mode of thinking -
yikes)

To develop a "Plan for Resolving Issues", Denny started by writing a
list of issues for which decisions/resoultions need to be reached and
divided this list into independent and interdependent areas ( they all
looked interdepentent to me). Charlie K. will write up Denny's list
this week. Responsibilities fell primarily in our group and Forsyth's
group. For Step 1 of the Plan for Resolving Issues (due Friday),
Charlie, Mark, and I must 1). Complete the list of issues 2) List the
decisions that must be made, 3) the order in which they must be made, 4)
With whom agreement must be reached to make the decisions.

I need your help in developing these lists and will schedule a group
meeting on Wednesday afternoon to go over them. Please come prepared
with the list of issues, decisions, order, and who's for your MARs.

FYI, the parts of Denny's initial list that had our names on them were: (I
have slightly expanded it)

Test Methodology
	AWACS (LJ)
		Logic Analyzer
		De-Piper
		Perf Analysis
	Board Characterization (TR)

Board Upgrade Issues
	Power (TS)
	AP Functionality (JM?)
	RFI (JM)
	Cooling (JH)

Board Construction/Layout
	Pinouts (RH)
	Models (RH)

This may give you some flavor for what he is looking for and but the
list is NOT COMPLETE.

Enjoy (I know I do).
