We met with Lattice this week to discuss there business. They told us why
they think that they will not have problems with having other companies
build there parts. It looks like they have a fairly good plan for being
successful, but they still have a lot to prove. Our materials people and
MTC are both worried about depending on Lattice. I plan to continue to
keep in touch with them but to let them know they they still have to
convence MTC and corporate that they can be a good vendor.

I built a tester to look at the 2K x 8 sorted 25 ns part that Cypress gave
me. It had about a 20 ns access time on my bench. (this was the slowest of
16 locations that I looked at.) I was told by cypress that they may be able
to use there current design and process to get 25 ns parts if we can relax
the write cycle time spec. They will get me more details on this.

I have started looking into the possibility of getting a 20 ns 16k x 4 part.
We are first going to decide how we want to approach the vendors with our
questions and what vendors we want to approach.

I have started to work on the PDH again. It does not meet the latest MID_BUS
timing and I will have to add a couple of parts to make it work. I should
be able to use slower Pals because of the changes which should make up for
the cost and power increases caused by the new parts.
