Sang Park and Jim Couts of the MTC were here Wednesday. There primary
purpose for coming was to discuss 2k x 8 25 ns SRAM's. We agreed that
we would continue with our present strategy to obtain the part. We
will actively work with Toshiba and Cypress and continue to have some
contact with other vendors. Cypress parts may have a high soft error
rate. I will get back to Sang on what our exceptable soft error rate
is. We should not have a problem because we have error correction.

Sang also talked about 1 Mbit DRAM's. He thinks that the current leaders
are toshiba and Hitachi. I have have been working with these two vendors.

Toshiba is now estimating that they will have samples of the 25 ns 2K x 8
parts in June or July. Cypress is still saying May or June.

I got Math boards back and turned one on. There has been no problems so
far except the CIO slot address is wrong. This should not cause major
problems.

I have run a first pass of the connect list checker on the 8 Mbyte RAM
board. There were a lot of problems. I am almost ready to run a second
pass.
