Cypress has a problem with one of there mask on the 2k x 8 SRAM. They did
a laser repair of the mask and will know in about a week if it worked.
They are 80% confident that it will work. If it does not work it will take
about 3 weeks to get a new mask. I suggested that they order the mask
now.

Hitachi has delivered 6 samples of 2k x 8 25 ns SRAM's to the MTC. They are
in the process of testing them. They plan to have qual samples in November
and to be in production in December.

We met with Harry Baeverstad and Andy Goris to talk about what they are doing
and what they thought Ultra-fox needed to be. They are just getting started
on a project that would be on about the same schedule. Some of the features
that they would like to see ate : VME support, byte transfers, cache line
transfers to graphics system, Multi processors, high performance network,
and simple interface (not like MID_BUS).

I have started to look into floating point systems to see where we need to be
with Ultra-fox.

Bob Brooks called me and told me the pinout changes to the CA chip. There
are only two pins changing.

I am just about ready to go to PC layout with the math board. There are some
changes that I am making to help prevent bus conflicts and improve testability.
I kluged a math board with these changes to make sure that they did not screw
anything up. There is a problem with some design rule violations on the
current layout. I think that they used the wrong wheel file when they made
the film. There is also a problem with the solder mask not covering all the
traces that I am looking in to.
