I checked the math board PC layout. There were problems with our network
on the 500, but these seem to be fixed. There were a few mistakes that were
found. I have also decided to make the pads on the inner layers larger.
The way they are they violate class 4 design rules. Making the pads bigger
will require that some traces be moved around. She should have these changes
done by today.

If the laser repair of the mask works for cypress on the 2K x 8 parts we
should get some parts this week. They will sent 1000 more parts next month.
They are also getting a new mask.

Hitachi is expecting to get us 100 samples next month and to qual samples in
December. They found a timing problem with the part but this should not
effect us.

I found out that the MC-F did not implement a change that we had agreed that we
would do to allow an architected method for causing errors. It turns out that
the architecture people decided that they did not need the change anyway.

Cypress and Motorola got back to me on when they expect to have a surface mount
package for the 25ns 16K x 4 part. It looks like it will be first or second
quarter of next year at the soonest. They are leaning toward different
packages. We may want to try to get them both going in the same direction.
