I finished up the battery backup proposal for the packaging
standard task force. I called Andy De Bates and Ross Laferta
to see if they had any objections to what I was proposing or
ideas for improving the proposal. They didn't. I sent an
electronic copy to Dave Burns and asked him include it in the
notes of the last task force meeting.

I had given a proposed pinout for the CPU to Joel Lamb and he
returned a different proposal. I changed the layout and asked
him if he could change around two areas. He said that it would
not be a problem. We now agree on how the padout for the
CPU is basicly goring to be. I need to work out the details
and document it. I also need to figure out how the latest
changes effect what we want to see for the CMUX padout.

I checked the PMI padout and found that they had the NIO bus
backwards. It is not a big problem for them to fix this.

I attended an IEEE class on advanced packaging. This turned
out to be of very little use.

I have continued to keep up on the memory parts of the IOACD.
People continue to try to change the architecture. I suggested
to Mark Hodapp that we get one person from the architecture
and each of the groups doing architected memory controllers
(I think there are 3) and have them come up with an architecture
that is compatible with all three products.

I helped Howell identify the mile stones and MAR's for the PCX1
CPU board.
