I built some test loads for my SRAM output tester and looked at a
Hitachi SRAM with different loads. It is going to be very important that
we keep the data lines very short. This should not be a big problem with
our current parts placement. The part does not have as much margin an
output high level as I had hoped, but we should be ok.

I made a fairly simple spice model match the Hitachi part with the different
test loads. I still need to come up with worse case models. I am not sure
how this is going to work out. The spec may not be able to be as generic as
I had hoped it would be.

I have been working on getting the Hitachi spice models working. I had heard
that Albert Chun (PN-10) was having trouble with the models. It turns out
that the model is fine, but he wants Hitachi to change the design to match
the low and high level drive times for there load.

I have discussed some SRAM issues with Mark Forsyth and Jim Couts (MTC).
We want to get a better idea of what the power will be for very fast
SRAM's. Jim was concerned with pushing Mitsubishi too hard to do x8 parts.
I told him that we do not want to push them to do anything. They should
treat the information we gave them as opinion. We are not committing to
using any parts at this time. We may want to get together with Mitsubishi
some time soon to make sure that we understand each other, especially if we
want to encourage them to do x8 parts.
