The 3287-NPP presents an interactive, menu-driven configuration
interface on its serial port.

Connect a serial ASCII terminal to the unit. Configure the terminal
for 9600/8/N/1. Apply power to the 3287-NPP, and hit return a couple
of times until a menu is printed on the terminal.

The configuration can be password protected. If it is, it will prompt
you for the password at this point. We don't know how to get past
that, but there's a PCB-mount pushbutton switch inside the unit that
may be relevant here. We've not tried it. If a configuration
password is not set (which appears to be the default), a menu appears.

All of the menu items are self-explanatory and straightforward.
