INSTALLING THE LIBRARY READER PROGRAM FOR OS/2
  ______________________________________________

A utility to assist in installing the IBM Library Reader program is included
in the EZ2INST directory on this CD-ROM. This utility installs the Library
Reader program to your hard disk. For the OS/2 user, this utility also
  updates the CONFIG.SYS file.

If you have the IBM BookManager READ/2 licensed program installed on your
work station, do not install the IBM Library Reader program from this CD-ROM.
The BookManager READ licensed programs will provide access to the books on
  this CD-ROM.

The following installation example uses "d" as the drive letter for the
CD-ROM. Use the drive letter assigned to your CD-ROM drive.

  To use the installation utility:

  1. At the OS/2 command prompt, change to the drive letter of your CD-ROM
      reader by typing

        d:

      and pressing Enter.

  2. Change the directory to EZ2INST by typing

        cd \ez2inst

      and pressing Enter.

  3. Type INSTALL and press Enter.

  4. Follow the instructions on each display of the installation utility.

If you are using OS/2 Version 1.3 and you get the following OS/2 error
message during installation, you may not have the latest CD-ROM driver:

SYS1059: The system cannot execute the specified program.

If you receive this message, do the following:

o Verify that the CDFS.IFS file in the \OS2 directory of your hard drive
      is older than 27Nov90.

o Back up the CDFS.IFS file in the \OS2 directory to \OS2\CDFS.BAK:

        rename c:\os2\cdfs.ifs c:\os2\cdfs.bak

o Copy the CDFS.IFS file from the EZ2INST directory on the CD-ROM to the
OS/2 directory on your hard drive:

        copy d:\ez2inst\cdfs.ifs c:\os2

o Shut down and restart your work station.
  o Return to step 1.
